Dear ZBC customers,

This post serves to advise you that we are changing our terms and conditions for our ZBC Junior Membership effective 1st March 2021 or when your current ZBC Junior Membership is renewed.

When signing up or renewing your ZBC Junior Membership, the following changes will apply:

Update on Junior Membership age eligibility,

  • Age 5-17 years old to be eligible. Meaning 5 and above & under 17. (Updated from 5-19 years old).

Update on Junior Membership Court Fees,

  • The court rate for ZBC junior members during peak hours is as same as ZBC senior members, i.e., $17.00 per hour during peak hours from 5.00pm until 11.00pm

  • Off-peak hours remain the same price at $5.00 per hour.

As mentioned, these changes will not affect your current Junior Membership and the existing terms and conditions will continue to apply up until your membership renewal date.

ZBC greatly appreciates your continued business and support through this time of growth and change. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this policy change, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Zhu Badminton Centre

The adjustments to the ZBC Junior Membership raise some interesting questions about inclusivity and the rationale behind the age limit change. By narrowing the eligibility to ages 5-17, ZBC seems to be making a significant shift in their approach. The court fees being equal to those for senior members during peak hours may also impact participation. This could parallel trends seen in platforms like Spinbet, where access and cost structures are closely intertwined with user engagement.

This update on ZBC Junior Membership raises some important questions regarding age eligibility and court fees. The adjustment that now limits ages to 5-17 years old could exclude older teens who previously benefited from the membership. Additionally, aligning peak court fees with senior members, particularly for families, may create challenges for younger players who are not yet considered Highroller participants in this context.
