Following the announcement of the COVID-19 PROTECTION FRAMEWORK (Traffic Lights), we would like to let you all know the new requirements around the use of our facility while this system is in place to keep everyone as safe as possible. For clarity, Canterbury will be in Orange from Friday, 3rd December.

Zhu Badminton requires all members, casuals, and guests over the age of 12 wishing to access the Centre in any capacity will need to be fully vaccinated and hold a My Vaccine Pass (MVP) and have it verified prior to, or on arrival to ZBC.

The access criteria will be managed via the 'My Vaccine Pass' certification. This is available via the Ministry of Health site: My Covid Record: Proof of vaccination status

It is the responsibility of the individual or Club/Group making the booking to sight all their visitors/participants hold an MVP, and it is strongly recommended it is verified using the free NZ Pass Verifier app provided by the Ministry of Health. For more information on the NZ Pass Verifier app – check the Ministry of Health official website.

These new requirements are in addition to public health measures that may be in place. A reminder of other rules to follow:

- Please ensure you are wearing a mask when you enter the Centre.

- When you arrive, you will be prompted to stop just inside the front door and there will be a hand sanitiser station for you to use.

- Please scan in using the NZ COVID-19 Tracer App. If you do not have the app, please sign in manually at reception.

- Please observe physical distancing.

- Follow all signage and directions of staff.

We will be utilising the Pay2Play system, which has the facility for all members to upload their My Vaccine Pass. This should mean members only needs to upload one time and then members may come and go freely without having to show their pass each visit.

If you are affected by the government's framework and can no longer use anything you have pre-paid to us, please get in touch with our office and we will discuss a refund with you.

Please note, we don’t have staff on-site 24/7 to monitor everyone coming and going from the facility. If anyone permits an unvaccinated person to enter under their booking, their account will be suspended immediately.

To reiterate, this is to help keep everyone safe, this means our staff, players, and other visitors to our facility. This process may continue to be developed over time.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
